Membership FAQs
Is my membership tax-deductible?
Yes. Halcyon True North is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your contributions are fully tax-deductible and you will receive an annual receipt.
Can I cancel or change my membership?
Absolutely. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time through the Givebutter donor portal linked in your confirmation email.
How is my contribution used?
100% goes toward our mission: educational resources, tuition assistance, and operational support for students throughout their academic journey.
When will I receive my welcome benefits?
Your Challenge Coin and welcome package ship within 2–3 weeks of your first payment. Digital acknowledgments arrive within 24 hours.
Can I give a membership as a gift?
Yes. Select ‘Give as a Gift’ at checkout on Givebutter to dedicate a membership in honor of someone special.
What is the True North Unity Run?
The Unity Run is our annual fundraising event. Member tickets are included at your tier level and grant access to the full event experience.
How do I get my name on the donor page?
During checkout you can opt in to have your name listed on our dedicated donor recognition page. This is entirely optional and can be changed at any time.
Can businesses or organizations become members?
Yes. Corporate and organizational memberships are available. Contact us at truenorth@halcyontruenorth.org to discuss sponsorship and recognition options.
What is a named scholarship award?
At the Guiding Light tier and above, you may sponsor a scholarship in your name or the name of someone you wish to honor, awarded to a deserving student each year.
